VRIKSH

Since 2008, Vriksh is a design studio collaborating with handloom weavers and artisans in the state of Orissa & other parts of India, offering contemporary aesthetics in traditional Indian textiles; reinterpreting ethnic designs by adding a fresh perspective yet retaining the cultural significance.

Following the mantra of 'Creativity through Conservation', we believe that the patterns and motifs on fabrics are not just design elements, but are living expressions that offer a glimpse into the lives and culture of the craft communities. Each piece of textile we design is a unique blend of the old and the new, possessing an exclusive identity that is grounded yet luxurious.
