Navagunjara is a mythical creature with a body of nine different animals and is considered to be an avatar of Lord Krishna in the Odisha version of the epic Mahabharata. It is also sculpted in the Puri Jagannath temple which has been used as a motif on the long pallus of this Tussar silk saree collection, representing the symbol of co-existing diversity.
